  • TMGSS on YouTube

    Snapshot 2009-11-03 20-43-50

I have been telling my colleagues we have needs to make use of the Internet to get connected with the newborn generations. The newborn generations rely on the Internet to grow up. Even if we are of the generations of physical world, we still have to equip ourselves to get used to the Internet. Facebook, YouTube and blogsphere are actually parallel platforms for various stakeholders of the school to communicate with one another.

Are there any photos and video clips related to TMGSS on the Internet uploaded by other stakeholders? Of course, there must be. Some are quality. Some are not. SO WHAT? This is the Internet. It is a world of equality. Anyone can upload whatever they think worthy onto it. Can we deny the existence of such parallel world? Can we ban all the ill-willed contents? Can we? The fact is that it is ridiculous to claim that we can. Why don’t we face this parallel world of the Internet? Why don’t we become a content provider on the Internet? Why not? We may still be drowned by those contents which are not quite quality. But at least we have our voice, official voice, on the Internet.

Out of my surprise, my colleagues start considering my ideas. TMGSS has officially opened an account of YouTube. We plan to upload our productions onto the Internet. We plan to BE SEEN whenever you search for TMGSS. We plan to COME OUT!

Give me your comments. Is it a kind of evolution? How should we make our channel more attractive? Do you agree with what we are doing?

PS: I think in the next step we should set up a team to check the contents relevant to TMGSS and see whether there is misleading information. We may not ban those contents but we can add our own comments.

  • I think we can also link the channel with the videos about TMGSS which exist on YouTube now. Some of them are very funny.

  • Its great to see TMGSS start this big step! Beside YouTube, facebook is very powerful internet tool too. Like my university, they set up facebook official page for the university, the facaulty etc. Then students can get every update from the page through News Feeds etc. My uni use facebook to remind students like when exam timetable is out, what activity is on etc, and sometimes, seek for opinion. It may not be very useful, but at least a good channel to communicate w/ students.

  • Hi its very nice to see TMGSS in youtube..students get useful information from it and we can easily gain more knowledge than any other..Thank you..get youtube views
